The History of Ramana Ghee
Mr. K. Manikkam Chettiyar started a local ghee shop in Namakkal in the year 1955. The trail begins here.He outsourced milk cream, butter, and ghee from local dairymen and the public, processing it into fine ghee for trading along his domestic routes.
He did business on a smaller scale but always maintained a strong commitment to purity and quality.
During the 1980s, the family business continued to grow with consistent quality and customer trust. In 1985, the brand emerged as “Ramana Ghee,” marking a major step in its journey. The focus remained on delivering pure ghee made using traditional methods while expanding its reach within nearby regions.Later, his grandson Mr. R. Balasubramanian succeeded him and took the business forward with passion and determination.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019, the family faced the loss of Mr. R. Balasubramanian. His younger son, Mr. Manoj B (MBA), took over the business, bringing innovation and modern practices while upholding the brand’s core values of purity, trust, and authenticity. Today, Ramana Ghee continues to grow, blending tradition and technology to deliver premium-quality ghee loved by families across India.
